We've all heard the saying, "First Impressions are Everlasting," so be sure to do your research before you choose the company that will be doing your website design.

First and foremost, be sure that your site is easy to navigate and understand.  If someone clicks on your website and has a hard time locating what they are looking for, you will lose that client possibility as quick as your page loaded.

Be sure that your web page is also easily read by those who stop by.  Themes come to mind, yet keep in mind what colors go together and how those bright colors can sometimes steer people away.  Be sure that you have an idea or theme in mind, and from there be sure that it all works together!  A good web designer will help you with this.

Keeping each page on your website consistent with the rest is extremely important.  If your site is not consistent it will tend to look as if you are disorganized.  If you don't think you are disorganized, your possible clients will.  Consistency is a big key factor!

Download Times - Be sure that your images and pages load quickly.  Studies show that if a web page takes more than 15-30 seconds they will immediately click the x in the corner and move on to a new site.  Your images should be compressed so they do not take a long time to download! 

Check the credibility of the web designers.  Find out who they are, and be sure to check out their portfolios.  Find out from others what their experiences were with the designers.  It's important to have a good relationship with your designer/client.  It makes it much easier to work together to achieve the goals set for your website!
